Sheet Metal Installer

Reports to: Foreman/Superintendent

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Role: Support Services

Location:  Federal Way, WA


King Sheet Metal seeks a highly motivated sheet metal installer to work with our fast-paced and very collaborative team of sheet metal professionals.  Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering the high-quality service and installations that our team is known for, while continually acquiring new skills and growing as a sheet metal professional and ensuring we achieve continued growth and success with the utmost regard for the safety of our team.  If you want to be a part of a fast pace, high-performing team and move your career forward, you may be the perfect person to join our team!


Essential Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Work with team members and foremen to complete installations of sheet metal roofing systems, commercial roof related components (flashings, copings, etc.), sheet metal siding, wall panels, composite panels and architectural cladding systems to the exacting quality standards of our team and customers.

  • Professionally represent the Company while on jobsites and in all interactions with customers, members of affiliated trades on jobsites, general contractors and their teams, etc.

  • Comply with safety protocols and ensuring the safety of team members, self and other on the jobsites toward the goal of all team members returning home uninjured.

  • Always look forward, act with velocity and integrity, care deeply about the customer, push yourself and our team to grow and achieve more while enjoying the journey.

  • Handle daily responsibilities and requests from Management.

  • Understanding of and commitment to customer service and King Sheet Metal’s core values.



  • Ideal candidates will have greater than one year of successful field experience installing commercial architectural sheet metal.  ***Those with less than one year of relevant experience in the sheet metal industry are encouraged to apply given we are growing rapidly and continually looking for new skilled team members. 


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required:

  • Ability to complete basic tasks associated with architectural sheet metal; proficiently work with sheet metal, measure and cut miters, familiarity and adherence to construction industry safety requirements.

  • Ability to be self-directed, work independently, self-motivate and be highly motivated.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational and accuracy skills. Dependable and trustworthy.

  • Ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback and translate into process improvement.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Must maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times.

  • Sharp listening skills and critical thinker.

  • Ability to work under pressure.



Our competitive benefit package includes:  PTO, medical/dental/vision coverage (following waiting period, premium is paid 100% by the Company for employee, spouse and dependents) and 401K with Company contribution. Package also includes an additional Wellness reimbursement for up to $500 per calendar year.




Capable of consistently working a variable work schedule (typical schedule is 40 hours per week with opportunity to work overtime).  Able to commute to the shop and then to projects throughout the Puget Sound reliably and consistently.




Typical construction site environment with related safety protocols.  Work environment may include flat and pitched roofs, uneven footing, working at roof-top level on multi-story commercial structures, etc.  Able to work outdoors in all types of weather, able to lift, climb, bend, kneel for prolonged periods.  Should have no fear of heights.  Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds maximum on occasion.
