Senior PCB Technician - Bothell, WA

Job Summary:


Perform repairs of varies types of  PCB’s to component level as well perform rework / upgrades, and testing of assemblies. Documentation of work performed for new and field return assemblies.


 


Essential Job Functions:



  • Troubleshoot ultrasound system PCBA’s, Transducers PCBAs, and accessories to the

  • component level.

  • Provide root cause analysis of failures as required.

  • Remove and replace discreet surface-mount components.

  • Provide root cause analysis of failures as required.

  • Perform BGA (Ball Grid Array), replacement

  • Perform functional acceptance test for PCB assemblies and Accessories.

  • Opening and closing NCR’s for new and returned product in accordance with current GMP and ISO 9002 requirements.

  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the companies quality system.


 


Knowledge and Experience:



  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in the electronics repair, medical ultrasound devices, or relevant field addition to a two year technical degree or equivalent or 5 years’ experience in the field.

  • Good soldering skills (BGA, SMT, Through-Hole, micro-, lead and lead free).

  • Experience with standard PCBA troubleshooting equipment. (Oscilloscopes, DMM, High level test SW, Waveform generators, Power supplies)

  • Current knowledge of ASIC, Chip Scale, and SMT technologies. Ability to read and understand schematics, rework instructions, and assembly instructions.

  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.

  • Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.

  • Experience with standard business systems. (MS Office, Misc data recording SW)

  • Ability to operate equipment such as repair tools, handheld and electronic.

  • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.


 


Skills and Abilities:



  • Soldering certification ( SMT, Through-Hole, micro-, and lead-free, BGA).

  • Testing and assembling of equipment.

  • Documentation of all required steps.
