The Environmental Assessment Program (EAP) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Communications Consultant 1 – Technical Editor position. This position is located in our Headquarters Building (HQ) in Lacey, WA.
The Communications Consultant 1 – Technical Editor position is charged with reviewing and editing documents for scientific studies (Reports, Quality Assurance Project Plans, Standard Operating Procedures) for the agency that will ultimately be used to guide the agency's policy decisions. This position ensures these reports are well written, easy to understand, and consistent with agency guidelines.
We are looking for candidates who possess excellent writing and editing skills, are highly organized, and have an interest in scientific research.

A Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations or related field;
Four (4) years of writing/editing experience; or equivalent education/experience.
