Job description

Global Diving & Salvage, Inc. is the largest diving contractor on the West Coast, based out of Seattle, WA, a leading provider of marine construction and infrastructure support services in the United States, and an internationally recognized casualty responder.


We are currently seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team in Seattle, WA.  This position is responsible for creating PNW region customer invoices, finding and resolving any invoice discrepancies, and maintaining invoice records.


Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up PNW region jobs and customers into accounting system

  • Create invoices for services provided by the PNW region in accordance with customer contracts, accounting principles and company policies and procedures

  • Maintain customer records and vendor database in Accounting system

  • Other Duties as assigned

  • Ensure that all PNW Dive and Enviro invoices are properly approved and are properly coded to the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial data; perform the data entry of invoices and balancing in the accounting system

  • Ensure the appropriate application of sales tax on all invoices, partnering with the accounting team and other internal business partners as needed

  • Follow up on the payment from PNW customers on past due accounts

  • Reconcile credit cards with monthly statement

  • Send monthly statement to customers

  • Respond to customer inquiry and communications on a timely basis to maintain the customer relationship

  • Research, analyze, and resolve customer invoice issues using established procedures

  • Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and co-workers

  • Monitors customer past due amounts and contacts customers, as necessary, to work out payment arrangements

  • Maintain paper and electronic records (filing, faxing, scanning and retrieval)

  • Update spreadsheets and tracking logs

  • Assist as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as directed by the PNW Region General Manager




AA Degree required



1+ years experience in an accounting or payroll role required

Experience in the maritime or construction industry preferred



Excellent oral and written communication skills

Advanced organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal and team skills

Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Knowledge of current accounting practices and accounting software



Physical / Mental Requirements
