American Behavioral Health Systems (ABHS) is a premier substance abuse treatment agency focused on providing the best client care experience in the State of Washington. We serve an offender, low-income and addicted population where we provide culturally and clinically appropriate care.

ABHS is looking for Chemical Dependency Professionals (CDP’s) to support our facilities and Prison Work Release programs all over Washington State.

Scope of Work: 

As an addiction counselor at ABHS, you are a member of a multidisciplinary team who provide comprehensive treatment for clients enrolled in our programs. Under the supervision of a clinical supervisor, you will provide evidenced based substance use disorder counseling and education for clients in the program.


Required Qualifications

  • A.A., A.A.S or BA degree

  • Current valid, active, and unencumbered Chemical Dependency Professional license issued by the Washington State Department of Health.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Human services is preferred. Additional credentialing as a LMHC, MHP, LICSW.


  • Some local and regional travel is required to meet with clients, conduct business, or attend training. Must be able to independently travel to alternate work locations as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance if operating a personal vehicle.
